Many Track and Field Student Athletes worldwide are running competitive times, throwing competitive throws and jumping competitive jumps. This alone is certainly not enough to ensure you will be seen by a College Track and Field coach. Be sure to compete and achieve at meetings governed by your State or National Sport Federations, where times, distances, scores and video are official. This will provide you with a platform to launch your campaign in securing a Track and Field Scholarship. A proven track record of competing and winning in events Nationally and Internationally is a significant advantage if you want to be considered by NCAA Division I coaches.
Athletes Dream has secured full scholarships into NCAA DI & DII for male and female across a wide variety of running, jumping and throwing events.
Your academic grades need to be considered too, as different Divisions have different Academic qualification criteria. Academic grades are the backbone of your College experience, perform well in the classroom and you can play on the team. High School grades and SAT exam results can be used to your advantage to secure a combination of Academic and Athletic Scholarship.

NCAA Track & Field Championships are an annual event, organised for both Men and Women. Individuals compete, accumulating points for their team towards the NCAA Championship. Both Indoor and Outdoor events are conducted, with the Indoor event taking place during the Winter and having no bearing or contribution toward the Outdoor Championship. The first NCAA Track & Field National Championship was held in 1921 with an expansion to NCAA Division II in 1963 and NCAA Division III in 1974.
The elite levels of NCAA Track & Field for Men and Women are a competitive business. Many of the disciplines are leading Olympic Sports and college coaches will take dramatic measures to recruit the right Student-Athletes. This was no more evident than with the 2004 and 2005 champions, the Arkansas Razorbacks, who were stripped of their titles in both years for recruitment violations.
Florida State University faced the same consequences in 2007 when one Student-Athlete had not met academic requirements.
