Introduction: I have had a strong and dedicated passion for running for as long as I can remember. This passion has allowed me to compete at the highest level both as an individual and as a part of School, Regional and State Teams. I firmly believe that the competitive team environment of the US College system will bring out my best for any athletics program that I am fortunate enough to represent. To be able to combine my Academic Studies with athletic competition at the highest level would be a fantastic opportunity for me and one that I would cherish forever.

Education Goals: As an athlete myself I know first hand the pressure and stress associated with performing at the highest level over a long period of time. It is for this reason that I have a keen interest in focusing my studies on obtaining a degree in Psychology. I would like to use that degree and specialize in the specific field of Sports Psychology helping athletes with performance anxiety issues. My goal is to complete the degree in the United States to highest Standard I can achieve.

Life Goals: My life goals at this time are to compete at the highest level I can in my chosen sport of athletics and also to become a Psychologist specializing in performance anxiety in athletes. If I am fortunate enough to enter the US College system, then along the way, I have the goal of achieving the best possible results both individually and as a part of team events on the track for my college team at NCAA level. I firmly believe that if I commit myself both athletically and academically I am very capable of achieving these goals.

College Goals: Throughout my life I have had a strong commitment to achieve and compete at the highest level I can. Whether this be on the track or in the classroom I always give 100%. I firmly believe that if I am given the chance to train and learn in US College system that this opportunity will allow me to reach my full potential both athletically and academically. I see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity and if I am fortunate enough to enter the US college system I will work very hard to train, compete and achieve at the highest level.

Why College in the USA? I see the US College system as the best way for me to train and compete at the highest level once I have finished High School. I have researched the NCAA system and feel that it will provide me with exposure to outstanding coaches, team mates, competition and facilities. I strongly believe that this will see me achieve outstanding results for any college I represent. In addition to this, I have a strong desire to represent my country at international events and I see the US college system as the best platform to achieve this dream. The US College system allows me to keep competing at a high level whilst continuing my studies and represents a fantastic life opportunity for me.

What makes you different? I believe what sets me apart from others and makes me different is that I am a great team mate. I have regularly been praised by team mates, teachers and parents for the modesty, compassion, empathy and leadership I have shown to fellow athletes that I have competed both with and against, both in teams, and individually. This has best been highlighted during periods of adversity when I have been able to put aside personal disappointment in favor of consoling fellow competitor and team mates who have not achieved as they expected. My strong sense of what it means to be a good team mate is very important to me and I am a very passionate, proud and hardworking member of any team I represent.

In addition to this I believe my strong work ethic defines me. I am a passionate and self – motivated athlete who strives for success and I have trained very hard since I have been 10 years old to continue to achieve at the highest level. I have overcome many obstacles over the years and I have adapted and modified my training to continue improve and compete at a high level.

I will work very hard to compete and achieve at the highest level if I am lucky enough to be afforded the opportunity to study and compete in the US College system.
