Education Goals: To study engineering or statistics courses that is transferable back to Australia

My Objective: My objective is to combine both my academic studies along with my talent in the pool. I have been able to motivate myself to sustain high academic achievements while fulfilling the long hours in the pool. I also have experiences as a senior for the school swimming team and know what it is swimming for a group outside of club swimming. My life goal is to fully maximize the talent that God has equipped with me and affect other people around me in a positive way. This includes coaching junior squads of the school swimming team and aid those who lack the talent they need to reach their goals.

College Goals: Being a swimmer and tackling high school academic life since the age of 12 has taught me the importance of time management and grit. This has taught me how to incorporate swimming training into my college life. I will strive to excel academically in college, whilst also working hard in the pool with those teammates who share the same passion and interest as me.

Why do you want to compete at College in the USA? The US colleges will allow me to maximize my passion for swimming whilst providing a very well recognized academic programs. Being enrolled at a camaraderie school since grade 8 has embedded the theme of team spirit deep into my mind. Whilst swimming at a competitive level and balancing a reasonably demanding academic schedule, it becomes much easier when you have teammates who are going through the same process as you.

What makes you different? My unique characteristic is the word ‘grit’. When facing setbacks and adversity, instead of being knocked down and never being able to stand up again, I come back stronger. This includes both in the areas of the academic and swimming segment. In school, I excel in the subjects of Mathematics and Physics, while also enjoy reading Economic articles. I have a curiosity for everything around me, which includes both the pool and classroom. This has helped me to build a very positive relationship with my teachers and coaches that will allow me enjoy everything I do.
