Athens, Ga. (February 15, 2018) – Sophomore Will Twizell posted a fifth-place finish in the 100 breast to highlight day three of the Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships on Friday night at Gabrielson Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia.
DAY THREE RESULTS
Twizell clocked in at 56.26 in the 100 breast, as he collected the Mount’s best individual finish through the opening three days of the championships. Aidan McCormick also collected points for the Mountaineers in the event, swimming to an 11th-place finish in 57.27.
In the 100 back, John Mata registered the Mount’s top showing, placing 16th with a time of 52.65.
The Mount’s ‘A’ relay squad of Mata, Twizell, Ryan Caroll and Brock Cudahy closed out the night with a sixth-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:29.09.
Following three days of competition, the Mount sits in seventh place in the team standings with 131 points.
University of Incarnate Word held on to the top spot with 592 points, while Old Dominion (503 pts) occupies the second spot, and Gardner-Webb (412.5) moved into third.
